Job Description:
Foreign Purchasing Specialist is responsible for sourcing and evaluating suppliers, products, and services,
negotiating contracts, and ensuring that approved purchases are cost-efficient and of high quality.
Main Responsibilities:
Issuing limited tenders to obtain offers from the approved pre-qualified supplier list.
Conducting techno-commercial evaluation of the offers according to preset technical and commercial
parameters.
Negotiating with suppliers to obtain the best value in terms of price, quality, and time.
Issuing purchase orders/contracts with supplier and discussing purchasing terms and conditions of the subject
contracts in the highlight of the legal prospects.
Managing contracts and ensuring the conformity of the shipments with the contract’s terms and conditions.
Arranging Shipping process with freight forwarders.
Reviewing the shipping documents to ensure compliance with banking and customs authority’s requirements.
Following up banking forms and supplier payments with the finance department.
Following up custom clearance of shipments.
Handling claims in case the delivered goods are not in compliance with the contracted parameters.
Source & develop relations and negotiate with new foreign suppliers.
Develop, implement & maintain supplier relationship and evaluation process to measure effective supplier
performance & compliance.
Contribute to the preparation of yearly department objectives.
Contribute to the preparation of the purchasing budget.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical engineer is preferred) or business administration.
0-2 years of job experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word…etc.)
Fluent in English language.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Good analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Attention to detail.
Fast paced and Energetic.
Can perform under stress.
